RIP Great Uncle Dave

Today Jim Cowey's only surviving son David, passed away. He had been suffering multiple cancers in his life, but particularly melanomas in his final months. He was a lovely man, someone who I got to know only recently while interviewing him extensively for my book. Uncle Dave gave so generously to me when he had every right to be selfish. His time was precious yet he spent hours answering questions from me. His answers about his father's life and struggles were bluntly honest, yet filled with love and respect.
